1. I have smart bulbs and sockets, and use presence detection so that if I leave the house then everything gets turned off, and the heating gets turned down!
2. It's frustrating that so much packaging can't be recycled. :( I swapped out my large refuse bin for a small one though, but still have the large recycling bin and I'm one of the few people on my street who puts out their food waste recycling bin.
3. I really need to get less at the supermarket, but the local markets in Brackley are when I'm at work. :(
4. I've carried a 'fold up' shopper bag in my handbag for years. I got another one for Christmas, so now one lives in the car and one in my handbag. (Plus a lot of food shopping bags in the boot of the car!)
5. More bins would make this so much easier...
6. Usually the straw is already in my drink, so I end up using it so as not to totally waste it and then take it home for my cat Kiska to play with! I need to start saying 'no straw' up front.
7. I've given away/sold a few things on gumtree recently when I've replaced them but they still had some life left in them.
8. Once a week laundry for me, and if I do a second wash it's my bedding which is cotton. And hung dry; no tumble drier! I also don't iron unless absolutely, which helps save energy.
9. I looked into getting an electric car, but currently still too expensive and the electricity doesn't come from great sources either. Hopefully soon though!
10. I use a sodastream instead of buying fizzy water, and keep a glass and mugs at work instead of using the disposable ones. And I was reusing a one use plastic bottle for the gym but my reusable one arrived today. :)
